ComScore: one of ten Americans over 13 years old is an iPhone user



    MacRumors informed that ComScore consulting company has released data from their latest research. The subject of the research was using mobile phones in the USA.
According the results of the research, made among mobile phone users starting from the age of 13, Apple has reached an important milestone. Their innovative smartphones have 10% market share among Americans by now.



    It is important to remember that iPhone 4S users were not taken into account in this research, as it was launched on the 14th of October, since the research was made from June till September, 2011.
It took three months, from June till September, for iPhone market share to grow to 1,3% and reach 10,2%. Samsung share didn’t change, while LG, RIM and Motorola lost almost 1%.
Android is still in the first place with its 44,8% of market share, followed by iOS (27,4%). Other platforms demonstrate slow but steady position loss.
